material has been recorded, and a small sample kept.
Two
fragments of Roman tile are present
The bulk
of the material appears to be medieval.
Plain and peg roof tile are present, with a 14th century fabric
occurring in some contexts. There is
one fragment of nib tile, in a new fabric.
There are a bricks that can be identified by their measurements as being
medieval. Two small, plain glazed floor
tiles are present. These are very
worn, and abraded.
Post-medieval
material consists of pantile, and a few bricks. Several new tile fabrics were
noted, some of which may be of post medieval date.
